“I hear and I forget.
I see and I remember.
I do and I understand.”
— Confucius (attributed)
Information passes through. We listen, we nod, and within a week most of it is gone.
Watching helps. A demonstration leaves a clearer trace than a slide ever will.
Practising it — actually saying the words, in the room — is the only thing that changes how you communicate.
The conversation you’ve been rehearsing in your head, brought into the room.
We design and deliver communication training built around the conversations your people actually have — the ones that get avoided, fumbled, or rushed through. Trained actors take the role of the patient, the parent, the donor or the difficult colleague, and your team practises until the words feel like their own.
Nothing is theoretical. There are no scripts to memorise. Each session is shaped to your team’s real situations and your sector’s real pressure, so the learning lands where it needs to: in the next conversation, the day after we leave.
“Inside the methodI came in unsure of myself and left with a way of speaking that finally felt like me.
Built around your sector, not around a template.

The Russell Partnership has worked with Lisa for over 15 years. She is one of our ‘go to’ partners for any role play leadership development work. Always conscientious, highly skilled, warm, empathetic and challenging in all the right ways, Lisa adds value to any training and development workshop. On top of that, Lisa is simply a beautiful human being. We can’t recommend her highly enough.
Lisa is an outstanding trainer. She is creative, flexible and very professional in her approach. She balances the need for careful and thoughtful planning to meet the needs of the particular audience with the ability to be spontaneous and respond to last minute changes. She is confident and able to engage even reluctant participants, using her knowledge and personality to great effect.
Lisa has delivered in person and online live sessions for groups and individuals/family units for us, showing a high degree of ingenuity and flexibility of approach, always in a considered and compassionate way. Lisa has also very successfully devised and led recorded activity films and bespoke professional training days for a variety of clients such as sheltered housing providers and day centres.
Lisa is an exceptional trainer who has genuinely transformed how I approach conversations and communication. As someone who has a tendency to keep talking when nervous and fill in every gap in conversation, I was initially skeptical that I could change these deeply ingrained habits. What sets Lisa apart is her understanding of how anxiety manifests in our communication patterns and her practical approach to addressing these challenges. The coaching techniques she uses aren’t just theoretical – they’re immediately applicable and have made a real difference in both my personal and professional interactions. Her training has helped me become a more confident communicator and, surprisingly, a better listener, genuinely life-changing!
Lisa and her team have consistently demonstrated exceptional skills in real play and communication skills. They have a proven ability to relay detailed information with sensitivity and accuracy, which greatly contributed to the success of our patient safety learning workshops. They are always willing to go the extra mile to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard. Their enthusiasm and commitment make them a pleasure to work with and highly valued members of our team.

Hello — I’m Lisa.
I’ve spent twenty-five years helping people strengthen the way they communicate — not just in the moments that feel difficult, but in the everyday interactions that shape culture, trust and teamwork. Across all sectors, one thing is consistent: communication improves fastest when people have a safe, structured place to practise it.
Our approach is collaborative. Skilled facilitators guide the learning; trained actor-coaches bring the practice to life. Together, we explore the techniques that build clarity, confidence and connection — and then we real play them, in real time. Individuals refine their personal communication style, while teams strengthen shared language, cohesion and collective problem-solving. It’s practical, human, and designed to elevate both personal capability and team performance.
What if your people left every session more confident than when they arrived?
Tell us the conversation that keeps coming up. We’ll come back with what training around it actually looks like.
